Terms of Service
1. The service
ProteinText is a text-message-based protein tracking and accountability service. Users can send food descriptions or photos and receive estimated protein amounts, a running daily total, replies to corrections, and scheduled daily check-ins.
2. Informational estimates only
Protein estimates and messages from ProteinText are provided for informational purposes only. ProteinText does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or medical or nutritional advice. The service is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
You are responsible for your own dietary decisions and for determining whether the service is appropriate for you. Estimates can be incomplete or inaccurate because portions, ingredients, preparation methods, and photo quality vary.
3. Subscription and billing
ProteinText costs $39 per month. If you begin a paid subscription, you authorize ProteinText and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Applicable taxes may be added where required.
4. 30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied, contact [email protected] within 30 days of your first paid charge to request a refund under the 30-day money-back guarantee. The guarantee applies to the first subscription payment unless otherwise required by law.
5. Cancellation and messaging opt-out
You may cancel your subscription by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops future subscription renewals but does not automatically refund past charges except under the guarantee above or as required by law.
Reply STOP to any ProteinText message to end text messages. Stopping messages does not by itself cancel an active paid subscription; email [email protected] to cancel billing. Reply HELP for messaging help.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate signup information and not to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it for unlawful purposes.
7. Service availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may use service providers to operate ProteinText. We do not guarantee uninterrupted delivery, immediate responses, or error-free estimates.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProteinText and its owners, operators, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on an estimate or message. To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to ProteinText during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Utah unless applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
